Cultural City One of the best exponents of Argentinean art is the Museum of Plastic arts “Eduardo Sivori”, with a selection of his master pieces between 1900 and 1960. At the Latin-American Art Museum of Buenos Aires (MALBA) you can appreciate the great permanent collection. Other places of interest to enjoy art are the Decorative Art National Museum and the Palais de Glace. Houses and curiosities The city offers also the possibility of getting close to her cultural history through the homes that belonged to the most important artists of our country. One of them is the Fine Arts Museum “Benito Quinquela Martín”, with more than a thousand paintings and sculptures, and the house and workshop of Benito Quinquela Martín located in Pedro de Mendoza 1835 in La Boca (Tel. 4301-1080). Carlos Gardel’s House, the mythic tango singer in the Abasto neighborhood; Jorge Luis Borges house, the great writer in Tucuman 844 (Tel. 4322-1550 Guided visits: Wednesdays 4.30 pm). Other original proposals are the Puppet Museum (Piedras and Estados Unidos), the Cinema Museum (Defensa 1220, San Telmo) and the Wax Museum (Del Valle Iberlucea 1261 Tel. 4303-0563) in La Boca.
