Bus lines in Buenos Aires cover the whole city and surroundings, and it’s nowadays the most used media of transportation by the locals. There are 144 lines, each identified by a number and different colors.

The subway, or metro, is the fastest and safest way to move around the city. There are 5 lines, which cover the city mostly from east to west.
Buenos Aires subway works from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., so you should take this into consideration when you have plans at night.

The train service in Buenos Aires city is a good option to travel big distances, especially when you want to travel from the city to the countryside or vice versa.

Taking a Taxi
You will find a lot of taxis in the city, some of them very modern and well equipped but some of them not so much. Taxis in Buenos Aires are easy to identify because they are black with a yellow roof and they drive around the city 24 hours a day.
