The subway, or metro, is the fastest and safest way to move around the city. There are 5 lines, which cover the city mostly from east to west.Buenos Aires subway works from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., so you should take this into consideration when you have plans at night. The ticket costs 70 cents and you can get it at the windows in every station. In some stations you will find automatic machines, but you have to be sure that you are going to get change from them before doing the transaction. It’s not necessary to keep the ticket during the trip.
