Villa Paranacito is a very quiet place, located in the confluence of the stream Tinta and the Paranacito River. It has only 1000 inhabitants that are dedicated mainly to the forest exploitation, fishing and tourism.
When you visit this locality you cannot miss crossing streams, rivers and islands where the paranaense forest can be seen. Some seasons of the year are specially attractive: in October takes place the Immigrant Celebration and in during the first days of November the Municipality organizes a parade of aquatic floats, and it is also always a good option for weekend trips and long holidays.
El Parque Nacional El Palmar is situated at 59km on the north of Colón. There it is possible to enjoy thousands of samples of Yatay palm, which grows in few places, although here is where it proliferates more. In addition to the forest of palms, there are forests in galleries on borders of the river and lows with aquatic vegetation; and next to the river is the Center of Visitors and Intendance.
In Colón exists an ample variety of places with historical, arqueological, artistic and architectonic value, important museums and centers of documentation referred the guaraní culture.
