This mountain village is located on the side of the Copahue volcano 7 km from Chile. The landscape is very different to others in the area, full of araucaria woods, turquoise lakes and lagoons and waterfalls. It has 6 lifts and 10 trails (25 km) and all the services of a big resort, including rentals and Ski and snowboard school.
It’s ideal to practice every kind of ski, snowboard, snowshoeing through the woods, rent a snowmobile or travel on sledge pulled by dogs. Another option is to go to the top of the spectacular crater of the volcano (2900mts. above sea level) where you can descend skiing or riding 8 km. off trail to the main lodge.
At the end of the day Copahue at only 16km from the resort, invites you to relax at the thermal waters from the volcano. These waters have all the mineral properties of the volcano. This way you can combine ski and thermal waters in a place of unique beauty.
How to get there:
At 357 km. From Neuquén city and 1570 km. from Buenos Aires. You can get there through national rout 22 and provincial routs 21 and 26.
You can also get by bus. There’s a regular bus or a charter service.
