Information about El Bolsón

Typical agricultural town, is located inside a beautiful valley conformed by de Andes at only 160 km south of Bariloche by a paved road. It has a very special microclimate that makes the whole area very good for all the agricultural activities. In the fifties the specialized agriculture started growing with the production of raspberries, strawberries, cherries and hop. At the end of the sixties and the beginning of the seventies El Bolsón became a very big attraction for hippies, who looked for isolated farms and a simple and quiet life style. Their influence in the architecture, the clothing and life style in general in the area is notorious.
