The largest city of the South Patagonia with its 144.000 habitants, is located as a city with important services of great impact in the region.
Its proximity to the Peaceful Ocean (approximately 600 km), and the integration with Chile carried out through international agreements, turned Comodoro Rivadavia into a fundamental extreme of the Corredor Bioceánico and a center of distribution of the Corredor Central. Mirador del Cerro Chenque

Beaches at the area
Comodoro Rivadavia possesses different beaches of fine sand and canto rodado, such as the Playa Costanera located in the center of the city; the Beach of Km 3 located at 3km from the center of the city; the Beach of Km 5 located at 5km of Comodoro; and the Beach of the Village Balnearia of Rada Tilly located at 13km from the center.
It is important to emphasize that each beach mentioned previously, in season of summer, counts on service of coastguard and police security.
