Gaiman, only 15 Km away from Trelew, is known by its Welsh tradition declared in its Houses of Welsh Tea, the constructions of stone and bricks in sight, pride of the locals.
In spite of its name of native origin, that means "Sharpening Stone" or "Tip of Stone", Gaiman permanently remember Julio Argentino Roca, who was the driving force of the campaign of the Desert and gives name to the main plaza.
Today Gaiman offers possibilities to be lodged and an extensive gastronomic offering.
The main places of interest of this small town are: The Regional Museum located in the old station of the Railroad, the Tunel of the former Patagonian Railroad (1914) of more than 200 meters long, the library Ricardo J. Berwin and the tea house where Lady Di stayed during her visit to Argentina.
